The Cape Seal Construction Technology is a preventive maintenance plan that involves first applying a layer of crushed stone seal, followed by one or more layers of slurry seal (or micro surface). The application of crushed stone seal layer before slurry seal layer/micro surface can make it more solidified. The use of hot asphalt, rubber asphalt, modified emulsified asphalt or modified asphalt as bonding materials has effectively filled the cracks in the original pavement and increased the oil content of the underlying pavement. To a large extent, it reduces the cracking of the surface slurry seal layer (or micro surface area), suppresses the reflection of cracks, and has a good sealing effect, extending the service life of the road. It is an effective preventive maintenance plan.
