1. Introduction to Cold Mix and Cold Laying Ultra Thin Cover

Cold mix and cold lay ultra-thin overlay is a new type of highway maintenance technology that combines ultra-thin overlay technology with micro surfacing technology. Firstly, a layer of permeable reduction bonding layer is sprayed on the original road surface to infiltrate, reduce, and seal the capillary gaps, ensuring the adhesion between the original road surface and the layers. Then, high viscosity modified emulsified asphalt and hot mix thin-layer overlay graded crushed stone are mixed and spread on the original road surface at room temperature using a slurry sealing machine. Through appropriate rolling and rapid forming preventive maintenance technology, the thickness is generally 5-9mm.
