1. Introduction to asphalt rejuvenator
Asphalt rejuvenator is a substance used to improve and restore the performance of aged asphalt. It reduces the relative content of asphalt and improves the solubility of soft asphalt by adding rejuvenators such as lubricating oil, thereby improving the compatibility, penetration, and ductility of asphalt and restoring or approaching its original performance. LT-LAR-1 asphalt rejuvenator is an additive developed independently based on colloid theory and component theory, specifically for the thermal regeneration construction of asphalt mixtures, taking into account the current engineering situation. This product has stable quality, superior performance, and good compatibility with aged asphalt. The active ingredients contained can effectively supplement the aromatic and gelatinous components in aged asphalt, forming a stable colloidal structure and achieving the regeneration of aged asphalt.
2. Instructions for using asphalt rejuvenator
(1) In situ thermal regeneration: Directly injected into the regeneration agent storage tank of the in situ thermal regeneration equipment, preheated to around 100 ℃, sprayed onto the milled and loosened old pavement asphalt mixture, fully penetrated and fused with the asphalt material, achieving the purpose of regenerating old asphalt.
(2) Factory mixed hot regeneration: The regeneration agent is added to the storage tank and added during the mixing of the regenerated mixture.
3. Main technical indicators of asphalt rejuvenator
(1) Appearance: Brown black viscous liquid
(2) Saturation content (%): ≤ 30
(3) Aromatic content (%): ≥ 50
(4) 60 ℃ viscosity (mP): 60-175
(5) Viscosity ratio before and after film oven test: ≤ two
(6) Flash point (℃): ≥ two hundred and twenty
(7) Mass change before and after film oven test (%): ≤ 3
(8) Density at 15 ℃: 0.98~1.01
4. Types and application scenarios of asphalt rejuvenators
There are various types of asphalt rejuvenators, such as softeners and activators. Softening agents include low boiling point substances such as dipentene and diterpene, while activators include high boiling point substances such as coumarin, pine tar, and tall oil. ZS-1 asphalt regeneration agent is composed of a variety of resins, solvents and multi-functional additives. By adjusting the rheological properties of old asphalt and chemical reaction with aged asphalt, its colloidal structure changes from gel type to sol gel type to achieve the effect of restoring relevant performance indicators.
5. Application effect of asphalt rejuvenator
The use of asphalt rejuvenators can significantly improve the performance of aged asphalt. By adding rejuvenators, the relative content of asphalt can be reduced, and the solubility of soft asphalt in asphalt can be improved, thereby improving the compatibility, penetration, and ductility of asphalt, and restoring or approaching its original performance. This technology not only helps reduce environmental pollution and resource waste, but also lowers road maintenance costs and extends road service life.
