On November 13, 2024, the 3rd Seminar on New Technologies and Achievements of Road Engineering Material Recycling, hosted by the China Highway Society, was held at the Xiangshan Hotel in Beijing. Xinxiang Longteng Highway Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Longteng Road) was invited to participate.
The meeting brought together a number of well-known experts at home and abroad, including Liu Jiaping, an academician of the CAE Member, a professor of Southeast University, Wu Zhishen, a foreign academician of the Japanese Academy of Engineering, an academician of the European Academy of Science and Art, president of Henan University of Technology, Xu Jian, vice president of the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, Wang Xudong, the chief researcher of the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, and Professor Season of the School of Civil and Traffic Engineering of Beijing Jianzhu University. The participation of these experts added a strong academic atmosphere and authority to the conference. During the seminar, Longteng Road Company showcased its latest technologies and achievements in the recycling of materials for highway engineering, attracting the attention of many attendees. On November 14th, the staff of the Achievement Transformation Center of the China Highway Society led the attending representatives to the large-scale comprehensive test base affiliated with the Highway Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport in Tongzhou District, Beijing. Wang Xudong, the chief researcher of the Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, led the attending representatives to visit the site of the full-scale road test ring and the national field scientific observation and research station. After one hour of on-site observation and learning, Wang Xudong exchanged and answered questions with the visiting enterprises about full-scale road testing and actual road construction in the lecture hall of the experimental building. It is reported that the full-scale accelerated loading test ring road was completed in 2015, with a total length of about 2039 meters and a total of 38 pavement structures. It is used to study the relationship and influence rules between pavement structures, road materials, construction processes, and actual road performance. This full-scale pavement test loop is the only full-scale pavement structure testing system outside the United States that has the capability to conduct full-scale pavement structure life cycle performance testing research with real vehicle acceleration loading.
